Dr. Nitish Milind Uplavikar is a cybersecurity researcher at Comcast’s Security Privacy Innovation Development Engineering and Research (SPIDER) team. As part of his daily duties, Nitish conducts research to address security and privacy-based real-world problems within threat modeling and develops solutions for them.
Nitish has around 6 years of research and 3 years of development experience. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia, USA. He has previously worked in the areas of Privacy-preserving Data Analytics, Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs), Recommender Systems etc. He has published at venues like TDSC, ICISS and ICDM. He has served as a reviewer at ACM CODASPY, SoCIeTY and TheWebConf. Nitish obtained his undergraduate in Computer Engineering from University of Pune, India. During his free time, he likes to hike, run and follow soccer.
